[This article possibly influenced Walt's story of Grand Coulee Dam]

In 1944, Rufus Woods of the Wenatchee Daily World published an 80 page pamphlet documenting the challenges to completing the Grand Coulee Dam. It contains published articles - pro and con, misinformation, hoaxes and threats, letters to editors, etc., which sought to derail the efforts of the boosters.
